Description
Urban Plant’s perlite for potting soil mix is a great additive for your plants. These little white balls, composed of 70%-75% Silicon dioxide, are toxic-free and are found naturally. It is recommended to be used for organic gardening.
Aerates the soil: Perlite has an excellent porous nature and has got enclosed air pockets. This makes it a good aerating agent, which helps deep underground roots, get an ample amount of oxygen.
Improves drainage: Excess water logging can cause the death of the plants. Adding perlite to the soil drains excess water and proper air spaces remain. Plants grow healthy and strong.
Uses:
- Make your own homemade soil by mixing perlite, peat moss, and loam in equal measures and use it directly for plants.
- It can be scattered on the soil surface and will itself seep into the soil.
Precautions: Wear a mask while using perlite as it gives off dust.
